Unravelling

Why is it that the things I'm into now are starting to come together? I'm reading Allan Lightman's Ghost where David, the lead character, sees a ghost and effectively unravels the spool of his beliefs. The latest episode of House showed House unravelling and getting unhinged because of Kutner's suicide -- a death that took everyone by surprise, including House. Sigh.
