Razorewind
It's a good thing that the weather held up yesterday. We've been having some bad weather lately here in the metro, complete with all the gigantic billboards in EDSA falling down like dominoes and the precious ad tarps being torn from the scaffolding. Super bad weather, I tell you, but perfect for sleeping. Hehe. Anyways, yesterday was blessed with a warm, overcast weather and my promise to Jo was I'd watch the boars with her if the weather holds. Fortunately, it did. I solicited Pyla's company and Jo, Dawaya's and we all met up in Bon Appetit Shang for dinner then scooted on over to Big Sky for the gig.

Kibins looks really good, lost a lot of weight and his hair is longer--no more of that 80s hairshit, thank god. He seemed glad to see us there, and said to me, "hey, long time no see!" Such a sweetie. Tish looks sooo old and he's not aging well, as those Espanyol tisoys are wont to do; Jabrian got rid of his Dao Ming Shi hair (buti na lang) and Bhoy Adonis is getting fatter (haha, lardass!!!) Sadly, Lawes looks all dried up and really thin, but still as enigmatic and handsome as ever. Sigh, verry calorific as Dawaya would say.

It was great seeing them perform again and they totally filled the verrry tight ground floor of Big Sky with rocknroll energy! Even if they didn't get to play most of their songs--since the gig was a tribute to the artists-slash-musicians who contributed their works in the boars' latest album (which is great, by the way)--it was one heck of a gig! No wonder they still haven't thrown in the towel...they're just too darn good to give it all up! The covers were super fun, especially Barbie's "Money for Food," Yano's "Banal na Aso," Eheads "Huling El Bimbo (!)" and of course Wfgang's "Center of the Sun." I'm sure the crowd misses Wolfgang because of the screams and howls of the fans when the boars launched into "Center." They did it beautifully, but I'd rather see the wolves play it live again, no offense meant to the boars.

Am really glad that the weather held up :)
